Our client requires an EH&S Manger/Director, BSChE, Environmental or Safety (MS preferred) with 10+ yrs experience as an Environmental, Health & Safety manager or director in a chemical plant (at least 5 yrs in a management role) with a major chemical company or refinery, reporting to the plant manager to support manufacturing/operations, engineering, maintenance and finance department leaders, senior company management, corporate attorneys, EHS peers in the industry, union and other management employees. Individual will supervise plant environmental engineers and safety engineers, actively lead and participate in execution of the plant's safety and environmental initiatives in support of the direct reports to this position and of the plant staff in general, maintain compliance with Federal, State, and location regulations, manage compliance with safety and environmental regulations and laws including Process Safety Management, Risk Management Program, Clean Air Act, Clean Water Act, Emergency Planning and Community Right to Know Act, Coast Guard Regulations, and OSHA regulations.
