Dovre Group has an open contract position for a Quality Representative working with a high profile major oil company in Houston, Texas with field work in Indonesia with this experienced team. This position will be a Houston, Texas based position.
The DTQR -Drill Team Quality Representative is the primary contact for a local Drill Team in Quality Management Program (QMP) matters and operational Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC).
The DTQR is involved in key Drill Team activities, provides support and QA/QC guidance to ensure that Goods and Services comply with Drilling minimum specified technical and quality requirements.
Skills:
• Able to serve as the WWV teams Drilling Team Quality Representative.
• Basic knowledge of oil and gas drilling operations to help him/her see where equipment fits in the picture
• Oilfield pipe/tubulars and other related equipment inspection experience preferred
• Proven track record as a surveyor or inspector if the person has no oilfield experience and is from the QA/QC sector alone
• Track record of implementing or watching over the implementation of a quality plan would be a plus
• Able to operate and move between locations quickly in a international oilfield setting
• Able to develop plans for investigating equipment failures and a plan to analyze and prevent future occurrences
• Able to develop and write well thought out documentation around issues discovered or plans to be implemented around QA/QC plans
Reporting:
Reports directly to the Drill Team Engineering Manager
- Reports indirectly for functional guidance to the Quality Representative Coordinator
- Interfaces with the Drill Team Engineers
- Interfaces with the Global Services QA/QC Team
- Interfaces with Drill Team and Global Services Procurement Teams
Experience:
• 5 years and a technical degree is acceptable if the individual appears to be someone that would want to develop into a company employee with quality work as a career.
DTQR Roles & Responsibilities:
- Report to Drill Team Management on QMP performance. Identify areas for improvement, assist / implement improvement recommendations, and promote quality awareness throughout the Drill Team
- Assist Drill Team in the development of strategic and tactical Quality Plans in support of the QMP and QMP Elements. Actively participate in the generation, review, verification and implementation of Contractor Quality Plans
- Implement and coordinate use of the QMP Elements at local Drill Team locations
- Provide Quality Representative Coordinator with QMP reporting input
- Educate and provide guidance to Drill Team personnel in QMP implementation and acts as the Drill Team QMP Enhancement Initiative Point Contact
- Address daily QA/QC issues and report key findings to management
- Coordinate Drill Team reviews and comments during the development phase of Technical Specifications (TS) and Quality Specifications (QS) global templates
- Coordinate customization of global TS and QS templates for inclusion in procurement documents (Contract specific TS and QS) as applicable to Drill Team operations
- Facilitate Contract TS and QS implementation process, steward ongoing evaluation, assess compliance and monitor ongoing performance improvement
- Advise QA/QC requirements for local manufacture and repair. Monitor implementation to ensure compliance
- Initiate and monitor quality event reporting. Steward Drill Team implementation of the Quality Event Database, its reporting system and controls for Goods and Service. This shall include local Contractor supplied Goods and Services
- Coordinate equipment failure investigations / Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and conduct Corrective Action verifications
- Confirm documentation control for equipment and service providers including local Contractors
- Conduct and coordinate Contractor assessments on Services and Service related Goods Contractors. Report findings to Drill Team management, identify and recommend areas for improvement
- Conduct internal assessments to assure Drill Team compliance to QMP
- Coordinate QC activities for received equipment deliveries
- Verify that Goods Preventive Maintenance, Inspection and Test Programs (PMITP) and Inventory maintenance inspections are in place Act as Key Performance Indicator (KPI) facilitator to Service Contractors
- Participate in the Global Quality Team and DTQR Network. Share key lessons learned and / or other quality-related issues
- Oversee pre-job Goods and Service tool preparations and inspections including, but not
limited to, disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, pressure and function test ensuring proper procedures are followed, e.g. Contractor systems and quality plans
- Interact with Contractor local agent to facilitate (coordinate, monitor, expedite) repairs on Company and Contractor owned Goods. Provide QC surveillance as necessary
- Foster continuous improvement within the Drill Team and supply chain
- Facilitate and / or conduct QMP training for Drill Team members
- Interface with ExxonMobil Global Services and local procurement to facilitate alignment between procurement activities and Drill team quality expectations of Goods and Services deliverables.
