Summary
This company is a market leading custom gearing manufacturer for the global marketplace. Company manufactures, repairs, and services highly-engineered, customer specific industrial gears and gear drives for more than 400 customers throughout the world. It is one of a few companies that is both capable of, and specializing in, the manufacturing of medium and large diameter gears (up to 25 ft. in diameter) for a variety of end markets including steel, mining, Oil & Gas, wind, rail, and sugar. Company has developed the in-house engineering and manufacturing capability to offer its customers increased service factors that, in many cases, can expand equipment lifecycle. This, coupled with their overall product quality, customer application specific designs and exceptional
customer service provides their installed base with superior performance. Company employs over 200 people and is headquartered in Cleveland, Ohio, with two additional facilities in Ohio and one in Canada.

This Cleveland based position is responsible for driving the growth of this $80mm private equity owned business through a combination of direct and agent sales efforts. The executive will provide leadership and strategies consistent with the Board/management's vision, working closely with the
CEO and Board to refine/enhance the go-to-market strategy. Key to this will be determining the best approach to existing end and geographic markets (agent versus direct) and expansion into new end and geographic markets. As part of this effort, they will need to grow, train and manage the sales organization through a combination of recruitment of strong talent, disciplined processes, clear metrics and regular interaction.
