Job Description:

Job Summary
The Project Manager has complete responsibility for the successful completion of the project. The Project Manager will have a field management team to complete responsibilities as delegated. Delegation of responsibilities doesn't relieve the Project Manager, only it acts as an avenue to reduce work load.

The development of a professional and cordial relationship with the client's management team.
Management of the Support Team.
Providing leadership for the entire management staff through the use of positive reinforcement methods.
Coordination of all technical and office activities on the project.
Identifying Issues before they become problems.
Finding Equitable solutions to issues and red flagging problems to corporate management team.

    • Monthly Audits will be conducted and used to monitor project objectives.

Job Responsibilites Fractionation Plant Scio, OH

Maintain Relationship with Client
o Including onsite and offsite relationship. This relationship to include personnel relationship building best suited for offsite interaction.
Management of the Project Schedule
o Maintaining a level three schedule, and developing work plans as needed to complete onsite.
o Using the Project Schedule as a tool to manage Owner Furnished Material.

OFM must be tracked and reported weekly and reported back to the corporate office and the Client Field Management.

Management of the Linear Tracking
o The site will have complete control of the reporting and an ethical and honest report must be produced for corporate review. Inaccurate reporting will not be tolerated.
Linear Tracking will be submitted Every Monday morning by 9:00 am
Management of Project Services Staff (DC, CC, P/S)
o Providing Direction to all of the Project Services Staff
Including Mentoring the Document Control and Cost Control.
Including reviewing and signing all Change Orders over $5,000.00.
All Change Orders Under $5,000.00 should be reviewed for accuracy, but don't require Project Manager signature.
All Change Orders over $25,000.00 require corporate review and approval.
Management of the Project QA/QC Staff
o Implementation of Turnover Documentation and Work Packages.
o Auditing of the QA/QC Team and Reporting.
o Verification and Compliance with Client and/or Westcon requirements for Weld Tracking.

  • Management of Project Safety Staff
    • Implementation of the Safety Plan and Behavior Based Safety Report.
    • Auditing the Safety Management Team and Reporting.

  • Including Notification of all Safety Incidents to the Project Director.
  • Management of Project Material Management Staff
    • Implementation of Material Budgeting, Best Buy Practices and Receiving Reporting.
    • Auditing of the Material Management Team and Reporting.
    • Cost Management using the Viewpoint Portal - PM Buy Out Report.
    • Implementation of Equipment Management and Maintenance Systems.
  • Using Equipment Control List
  • Equipment Control List to be updated and included in progress report
  • Equipment Maintenance Reports to be completed
  • Leading Client/Contractor meetings and resolving Client and Management project issues.
    • Development of Westcon POD meeting

Plan of the Day

  • Meeting to be held daily, corporate office will conference in on meeting
  • Meeting notes to be published
    • Management of Westcon Project Issues
    • Personnel issue to be dealt with in a professional manner.
    • Management Team members cannot be terminated without approval.
    • Salaried Westcon Personnel cannot be terminated, but can be removed from the project with prior approval.
  • Weekly Status Report
    • Brief email summary of the weekly progress, issues, safety performance, quality issues and overall status of the project. The report needs to include the Equipment Control List.

Facilitator
Efficient and productive use of the Project Manager time dictates that there is an effective working relationship with the Project Director and the President with clear understanding as to how issues are to be handled. Effective performance in this role requires a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of the scope of work as well as a good understanding of the current project situation.

Reports
The Project Manager responsibilities in this area are usually defined by the Client at the beginning of a project. Typical documentation to be filed on this project consists of but limit to: Reports to be reviewed and approved by the Project Manager, the responsibility to populate the data is to be delegated to others.

5) Progress Reporting
6) Weekly Status Report

Performance
The performance of this position will be reviewed continuously by Project Director to ensure operational compliance, functional adequacy and satisfaction of project requirements. Adjustments to duties, responsibilities and expectations, if required, will be addressed based on these reviews. Westcon corporate will perform project audits monthly and review the audit prior to leaving. All deficiencies will need to be corrected prior to the next audit period.
