This position is required to support the Testing and Subsea product service line needed to provide Designed Surface Well Testing equipment, perform engineering for Well Control equipment (currently being performed by the Technology Manager) and to perform engineering analysis required for burner boom installations, and to assist the Principle Engineer in the development of a compact SWT packages. BS Mechanical Engineer responsible for providing engineering support for the acquisition/supply of oil and gas well test packages, namely separators, pressure vessels, trailers, fabricated equipment, enclosures, skids, pumps, well control equipment, and supporting products including some design with future responsibilities to develop premier equipment of company design. The ideal candidate would have: * 5+ yrs experience working in a mechanical engineering capacity performing general design and engineering of mechanical systems. * Experience in the design and engineering, of oilfield equipment, hydrocarbon processing equipment, general fabrication and fabrication welding, enclosures/cabins, flow heads, choke manifolds and offshore equipment and skids * BS degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET acredited university is required. Relocation assistance provided *This is not a100% design role. They will do some designing in CAD, but this is more true engineering work - looking at specs and doing heavy calculations. They will be working with vendors who are creating the designs of well testing equipment to ensure they are in line with Halliburton's standards and meet customer needs. This position will require minimal travel to visit vendors overseas. Fluency in Spanish is a plus, but not required.
Participates in analysis, modification and design for multiple projects and/or projects of greater complexity. Conducts test and writes test procedures and analyzes test results for assigned projects. Proficient in the application of standard materials and components. Investigates use of alternate materials. Advises and assists in handling field and manufacturing problems to maintain and improve products and services. Incorporates reliability, HSE and Quality analysis techniques during the design process. Participates in planning and conducts project tasks as assigned. Includes some latitude for independent action. Provides consultation and technology transfer to internal and external peers. Document technology transfer when appropriate. Develops and applies company sanctioned standards and specifications. Learns and utilizes project management skills in the organization and execution of project assignments as necessary.

Skills are typically acquired through the completion of an undergraduate degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar discipline, and 4 years of related experience. Certification as a Licensed/Chartered Professional Engineer is preferred.
