Oceaneering is a global oilfield provider of engineered services and products primarily to the offshore oil and gas industry, with a focus on deepwater applications.  Through the use of its applied technology expertise, Oceaneering also serves the defense and aerospace industries.  Oceaneering's business offerings include remotely operated vehicles, built-to-order specialty subsea hardware, deepwater intervention and manned diving services, non-destructive testing and inspections, mobile offshore production systems, and engineering and project management.

Duties & Responsibilities  
The Supplier Manager manages business relationships with assigned supply base or commodity.

Develops and manages long-term relationships with critical suppliers.  Develops procurement plans and pricing agreements which support Master Schedule and target cost objectives.  Proactively communicates purchase price variance as it relates to budgeted or target cost.  Proactively monitors and manages supplier performance.  Ensures on-time delivery and product quality.  Ensures delivery schedules are adequate to support inventory performance metrics.  Coordinates all activities concerning supplier by serving as the liaison with other internal departments. Manages Item Master Attribute data as appropriate.  Proactively identifies, communicates and mitigates schedule execution issues.  Facilitates resolution of cross functional issues as appropriate. Ensures timely and accurate implementation of ECOs.  Ensures the data integrity of the ERP system, including but not limited to Item Master Attribute and PO data.  Leads negotiations with supply base that create a win-win situation for OII and supplier, and ensures lowest total cost to OII.

Bachelor's degree and a minimum 3 years related experience in a job-shop, or project management environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must demonstrate proficiency with a variety of common software programs such as MS Office and GMail; have a working knowledge of PeopleSoft or similar business management software, including an understanding of ERP and MRP logic, and inventory management.

Professional certificates desired: CPIM, CPM
