A one year contract for Quality Assurance Inspector is available with a world-leading operator in Houston, Texas.
The Site QA/QC Lead reports to the Topsides Site Fabrication Manger for all day to day activities and functionally to the Topside Quality Assurance Lead. The site QA inspectors will report to the Site QA/QC Lead. On all specification matters relating to Quality Assurance, he reports to the Topsides Quality Assurance Lead in Houston. He has the responsibility to implement the Quality Assurance Plan and work instruction on quality planning for topsides at the fabrication site. The scope ends with the topsides complete, loaded-out and sea-fastened to a barge ready for transportation offshore, and handover to Installation.
The Site Quality Lead is responsible for the implementation "Quality Planning for Topsides Construction".
*Manage the construction site(s) quality team effort
*Implementation of Level 2 work instruction
*Review of Contractor's Construction Procedures (Fabrication, Welding, NDE, etc.)
*Review the Contractor's Inspection & test plan (ITP)
*Conformance assessment of the Contractor's Quality Management Systems
*Coordinate for quality of dimensional controls related to fabrication (structural, piping and equipment location) in accordance with engineering requirements
*Quality of Electrical, and Instrumentation and Control
*Coordinate for quality of surface preparation, coating, painting, insulation in accordance with specifications
*Coordinate for quality of receiving, traceability and Positive Material Identification (PMI)
*Review and maintain the Contractor's Project Quality Audit Plan, and monitor the effective closure of audit findings
*Verification that the MDP2 work instruction of Equipment Purchases is followed
*Review the occurring non-conformance reports (NCR), verify that the containment and disposition processes are completed in conformance to ISO:9001-2008
*Review the occurring corrective action requests (CAR), verify that the effective permanent action resulting from a root cause analysis is completed
*Monitor the Contractor's compilation efforts and review Final Hand-over documentation
*Participate in the system joint walk through during Mechanical Completions (MC1) and handovers to Commissioning
*Coordinate for GOC effectiveness and completion activities
*Implement previous lessons learned (Section 14.2)
*Capture lessons learned during life of project
*Coordinate with the Quality HUC team the release of the equipment
*Review fabricators quality KPIs
*Development and reporting of site quality KPIs on monthly bases to Topsides Quality Assurance Lead
The ideal candidate would have:
