Job Description:

We are looking for a Planning & Scheduling Specialist to work for a major Oil and Gas company located in Houston, Texas.

Responsibility- Responsible for the validation and analysis of the planning and scheduling performed by contractors executing the design and construction of a major petrochemical processing facility to be built in the U.S.

Job Description-

· Oversee schedule control for a major part of the overall project

· Perform analysis of contractor schedules, testing logic, verifying the accuracy of updates

· Prepare critical path analysis

· Generate reports from Primavera that identify open-ends, track changes to logic, and determine out-of-sequence work

· Interface with project management and the contractor scheduling staff

· Work with engineering and construction representatives to assure that the schedule represents the execution plan

· Assist with the schedule impact estimating for changes and variances

· Utilize 3 week lookahead schedules to help manage the work

· Assist with the schedule impact estimating for identified risks

· Maintain Primavera software for the project team

· Review actual costs as incurred and make corrections or reclassifications within the cost system as required

· Prepare schedule risk analysis using Pertmaster

· Review contractor's schedule forecasts

· Facilitate the Change Management process


Qualifications Required-

· Bachelor degree in engineering, construction, or business preferred

· 7+ years major downstream project experience in a related capacity

· Experience in staff management and supervision

· Good organizational skills

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Self-starter with a strong commitment to safety

· Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously

· Proficient with Primavera Project Planner version 6.2 or higher

· Ability to work with peers, contractors, and a wide variety of skilled professionals

· Positive attitude and high ethical standards


Preferred Qualifications

· Experience in working and facilitating the change management process for a major project

· Knowledge of Primavera database management and the implementation of fully integrated scheduling using multiple contractors

· Good understanding of earned value progressing and the basis for rules of credit

· Knowledge of quantity trending

· Some basic knowledge of cost engineering
