#8864- Administrative Assistant/ Contracts

We are currently looking for a Administrative Assistant with Contracts experience towork with a major oil operator in Covington, LA

Contract Administrator: The primary responsibility of this position is to assist in the administration of contracts, including pre- and post-contract execution activities. Activities include, but are not limited to: Understanding differences between and drafting various types of contracts, i.e. Masters, Service Orders, Amendments, Work Authorizations and Call-Outs as needed; creating and publishing Ariba workspaces; ensuring files in Ariba and O drive are completed in accordance with company standards; assisting in periodic reviews of the contracting procedure; assisting in establishing key business process improvements and OpCo standardization efforts

College Degree Preferred

2+ years in contracting

Experience in effectively negotiating with contractors and complete appropriate technical and commercial analysis to procure a variety of services at the best overall conditions. Knowledge of risk sharing with contractors; standard  contract forms; construction; all risk insurance; bidding and contract preparation. Demonstrates ability to clearly convey concepts and objectives orally; in presentations and in technical reports; both with all internal company stakeholders as well as externally.
