OPERATIONS MANAGER - HOUSTON,TX
The Operations Manager is responsible and accountable for all aspects associated with the management of day-to-day operations within the company. The role is specifically responsible for the delivery of projects ensuring that all projects are delivered in a safe, efficient, high quality, within budget and customer focused manner. The role is expected to proactively identify and address issues relating to the delivery of projects on behalf of company and its customers. This is achieved through the effective and efficient utilization of a diverse multi-skilled workforce consisting of Engineers, Executives and Skilled Labor, to guarantee a safe, reliable and profitable long-term business. The incumbent is also responsible for the safety of a large number of employees, for the protection of Company assets and public safety and ensuring that company conforms to the requirements of the client contracts.
This position will be out of Sugar Land, TX and will report directly to Director - Operations

Some of the key responsibilities of the position are
Be responsible for day to day management of the Operations functions Develop, Organize and improve these functions to ensure the smooth operation of various processes. Have responsibility for delivery and support of all current and Planned projects Consistently demonstrate the ability to proactively identify potential project problems or opportunities, analyze the issues using all appropriate resources, develop alternatives, and arrive at the most optimum approach to mitigate problems or exploit opportunities Clearly understand the scope of work and contract requirements and execute projects within the defined budget and timelines. Support or conduct formal presentations to clients and/or internal management Set Department KPI s and maintain performance of individuals and departments
Experience & Requirements
Prospective candidates should possess a degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Instrumentation/Chemical) discipline, preferably from a recognized university; coupled with good career progress in the last 12-20 years, and previous experience with a major EPC/PMC international company in the OIL & GAS industry. Should possess Strong project management, commercial acumen and contracting experience.
Good Engineering aptitude. Familiar with international standards for design, engineering, construction and operations of multidiscipline projects eg. API, ASTM, BS, DIN, Shell DEP, ASME, PD 500, NACE, ANSI. Experience in shop-floor activities, manpower and equipment deployment requirement and fabrication of piping, structure, vessels etc., NDT and quality control system. Minimum 5 years of experience running Operations Department and managing large teams. Willing to travel as required, both domestic and international to support the needs of the Organization. Experience in ERPs like SAP is highly desirable.
