CH2M Hill Lead Estimator Careers - Calgary, Alberta
The challenge? Helping to develop and provide high quality, leading edge direct hire Construction Estimating solutions to the oil and gas, and heavy industrial construction market. The Lead Estimator position provides you the opportunity to lead, work with and develop quality estimating for CH2M HILL and our clients. Each day, you will be responsible for delivering quality estimates that meet our client and project specifications while working within a multidiscipline construction and engineering team. You should be a self-motivated professional estimator with 10+ years of experience working on and leading estimates in an industrial construction environment and have a desire to grow personally as well as professionally with each project.
Our Lead Estimators:
Prepare for review, multidiscipline lump sum cost estimates
Assist in training, developing and maintaining discipline estimators
Identify areas of risk and associated risk levels
Supervise personnel activities
Combine discipline estimates to arrive at a final cost estimate
Review contractual documents and modifications to determine scope of work/changes
Assist with project management and business development
Interface with clients
Develop measures for quality improvement
Qualifications:
to 10 years experience in competitive lump sum direct hire construction bidding environment
Minimum of 3 years in a lead estimator role
Post secondary education in a relevant field or experience in applicable trades
Estimating experience in at least one of the following disciplines; Civil, Structural, Mechanical and /or Piping
