Geologist

An intermediate Geologist is being sought by a local Heavy Oil Owner/Operator for their East Central Alberta and West Central Saskatchewan assets. Hays Oil & Gas is pleased to partner with our client as they continue to increase development and production of their oil assets. As a Geologist you will have the opportunity to provide expert insight towards development of horizontal drilling programs for cold production of Heavy Oil.

As the successful Geologist you will have an undergraduate degree in Geology (or directly related field) and 10-12 years of experience in development and operations of Heavy Oil as well as current registration with APEGA as a P.Geo. Only applicants with experience in the Lloydminster region of Alberta, preferably in cold production of heavy oil will be considered. Some well-site and field experience would be an asset but this position requires the bulk of your work experience to be in operations and development. Your technical proficiency needs to include a working knowledge of standard geological software.

In the Geologist position you will plan and execute horizontal well drilling programs and asset evaluations. This is an excellent opportunity to work with a growing intermediate producer on economically producing assets based out of Calgary.
