Project Engineer

My client requires a Project Engineer

Responsibilities:
-Design, coordinate and oversee production, testing, perform on-site commissioning and operations of packaged controls equipment for top-tier oil and gas companies
-Coordinate and monitor all aspects of production including: structural fabrication, hydraulic/pneumatic installation, electrical installation, control system integration and functional testing
-Specify system components to ensure conformance with customer specifications and applicable standards including: pumps, accumulators, motors, control valves, instrumentation, etc.
-Monitor production staff and ensure overall workmanship, quality and compliance to project requirements meet company standards
-Complete assigned project tasks in a timely manner

Required Skills:
-Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering Technology
-Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
-Excellent communication and customer service skills
-Technical Writing skills
-2D AutoCAD based drafting experience (GA Drawings, P&ID, Structural Fabrication Drawings)
-Knowledge of hydraulic, structural and electrical packaged equipment

Preferred Skills:
-3D modeling and analysis experience in Catia or similar parametric modeling software
-Structural design and mechanical equipment sizing experience
-Knowledge of industry standards (API, ASME, NFPA, DNV, IEC, AWS)
-Basic understanding on ladder logic and PLC based control systems

Location: Houston
Salary: $100,000 - $125,000
