Technical Writer

My client requires a Technical Writer,

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
-Responsible for the quality of all written products assigned and assuring they are delivered in accordance to schedule
-Produce high quality technical documentation as required to support operations department
-Produce/facilitate graphics and supporting material to assure documents are complete and professional
-Drive standard documentation formats and ensure company standards are maintained in congruence with marketing requirements
-Make sure all documentation emphasizes Health, Environment, Safety, Quality, & Corporate Social Responsibility standards
-Liaise with various groups as necessary to assure cross functional needs are met
-Capture operational meeting minutes to assure accurate and well-articulated communication of covered material and action assignments
-Support presentation material development and documentation to reflect department plans and summary information
-Prepare and distribute department summary documents as required
-Some travel to job sites required

QUALIFICATIONS
-Three to Five years of Technical Writing experience
-Strong organizational, analytical, and data entry skills are required
-Must have excellent communication and customer service skills
-Exceptional command of the written English language in technical applications is required
-Detail and quality oriented with a high degree of accuracy
-Computer skills (Excel, MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, Visio)

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor Degree in Technical Writing, Technical Field, or similar Associates Degree, plus at least five years of experience in a technical writing role.

Location: Houston
Salary: $75,000
