Job Description:

Bolttech Mannings, Inc. is a world leader in providing specialty on-site services which include bolting: torque & tension, heat treating via resistance-combustion-induction methods, onsite machining, and induction bolt heating. BMI engineering designs and manufactures a complete line of specialty service tooling/equipment to include bolting tools, resistance equipment, multi-fuel combustion systems, and induction bolt heating equipment. Bolttech Mannings, Inc. has 19 service and rental tooling locations across the US and provides onsite services and specialty rental tooling and equipment to the energy market focusing on the oil & gas, petrochemical, power generation, nuclear, steel, and wind turbine industries.

We have multiple openings for industrial Heat Treatment Technicians in the following locations:
Alton, IL (St. Louis, MO area)
Crown Point, IN

Our Heat Treatment Technicians provide expert field heat treating services on applications including preheat, post weld heat treatment (PWHT), solution heat treatment, thermal expansion, refractory curing, and coating curing in customer plant locations.

Heat Treatment Technicians must be able to:
•Work both independently and as part of a team with other field technicians performing onsite heat treatment services on piping and headers, fabrications, vessels, and OEM components.
•Mobilize equipment according to set procedures.
•Troubleshoot onsite heat treatment equipment
•Determine the proper heat treatment methods to meet the customer's needs and specific applications.
•Verify thermocouple attachment and reattachment
•Read and adjust control console as required by codes.
•Positions and fastens heater pads onto pins and wrap insulation.
•Read amp temperatures and monitors dials in accordance with procedures.
•Test parts for hardness.
•Work with High Voltage
•Meet and communicate with customers in a professional manner.
•Travel 75%+
•Ability to lift 50lbs
Our Heat Treatment Technicians need to be able to perform a variety of tasks, often changing assignments on short notice. Out of town travel is required and costs are covered by the company.

Qualifications include:
•Minimum of five (3) years of field heat treatment experience is required
•Knowledge of construction and safety code requirements
•Knowledge of High Voltage
•High School diploma or equivalent
•Valid driver license with a clear driving record
•Ability to pass a DOT medical exam, drug and alcohol test, respirator qualification test, and federal class background check in order to obtain a TWIC card
•Demonstrated mechanical ability
•Ability to work at heights or in enclosed spaces
