Job Description:


We are currently working with a good client of ours who is searching for an Electrical Engineer.

Duties & Responsibilities

-The Electrical/Electronic Engineer, Sr. supports the OIE engineering group with electromechanical projects and/or individual components of larger more complex projects.
-Responsibilities include conceptual design of electrical circuits, low and medium voltage devices, general programming, product assembly, testing & integration, installation and commissioning.
-Responsibilities include conceptual design work, engineering analysis, and some development for new products.
-Creates complete design packages (cradle to grave) with BOMs, specification and testing documents and test fixtures.
-Sources and evaluates necessary components and builds prototypes and test setups.
-Works closely with the Electrical Technicians for product development and testing.
-Reviews product design for compliance with engineering principles, company standards, customer contract requirements, and related specifications.
-Occasionally travels offshore. Travel is estimated at 10%-20%

Qualifications

-BS in Electronic/Electrical Engineering plus a minimum ten (10) years of direct electronic design experience to include power, analog, digital/cpld, and micro-controller design.
-Must have good knowledge and understanding of Electrical Engineering Fundamentals.
-Discrete and computer based electro-hydraulic controls systems, PLCs, project management or project engineering experience a plus.
-To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. PeopleSoft, AutoCAD, Solidworks, and Enovia skills a plus.
-Must be proficient using lab tools (scopes, logic analyzers, DVMs, Megohmmeters), writing test code (C preferred) and with simulation tools (MathCad, Spice). Proficiency in building, soldering, and testing prototypes is required.
-Must have an in-depth knowledge of PCB design (Altium preferred) and tolerance trade-off to build rugged PCBs.
-Requires strong knowledge of multi-board systems, grounding, and how they interact at a system level.
-An in-depth understanding of PC104x86 is a plus.
