SBM Offshore is currently seeking a Commissioning / Construction Manager. The purpose of the position is to manage and coordinate in detail, all aspects of SBM Offshore projects including planning, budgeting, execution, reporting, technical, for mechanical completion, pre-commissioning and commissioning activities
The Commissioning / Construction Manager will develop a thorough technical familiarity with SBM Offshore's products and services as well as a high level of working knowledge of shipyard, fabrication and machine shop practices, and offshore installation activities.
As a matrix project management position working across SBM Offshore line functions, it requires organizational and inter-personal relationship skills in order to utilize, in the course of project execution, all SBM Offshore's internal operating systems and departments including management, operations, engineering, finance and QA/QC departments.
In this role, the Commissioning / Construction Manager will be responsible for: developing liaisons; negotiating, executing and administering contracts; and working with international customers and fabrication facilities.
In addition, the Commissioning / Construction Manager must: review and understand project design documents; interface with Project Engineers, Project Managers, Controls Engineers, Service Engineers, Sub-Vendors, Technicians, Consultants and Customers to ensure proper commissioning and handing over of the projects; review and ensure that Project Designs, Drawings and Documents have been followed by the Constructor; develop a general Commissioning and Testing Program which includes a QA/QC Processes and System of Records; develop Project Specific Commissioning and Testing Programs; manage the personnel and activities required to pre-commission, commission, test and hand over all plant systems; support the adherence to project schedules; ensure as-built markups are provided and accurate for final project documentation; System Handover Dossier for system acceptance for client.
Qualified candidate will possess a degree in an engineering discipline and 7 years of engineering related experience. Candidates must have thorough knowledge of construction techniques, planning and budget control methods, and experience managing additional complex related activities.
