Senior Geotechnical Engineer

An international resource consulting firm is seeking a Senior Geotechnical Engineer in their Calgary office. The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will have access to worldwide opportunities in a multidisciplinary environment in one of the most fully integrated firms throughout the mining and energy sectors globally.

The successful Senior Geotechnical Engineer will have an undergraduate Geotechnical degree (or related field) and a minimum of 4 years of experience in industry and eligibility to register with APEGA. Proven project management and clear communication skills are assets and the successful candidate should be prepared to travel up to two weeks at time. Technical requirements include a working knowledge of ACAD systems, the Geoslope suite and MS Office.

The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will prepare proposals, cost estimates and project timelines while leading the planning field support and site completion investigations. Civil earthworks structures will primarily include mine pit slopes, waste disposal areas and tailings dams.
