Job Summary:

  • Manage, mentor and lead a team of engineers, designers, and drafters having product responsibility for hydraulically actuated drilling and torque equipment.

Job Description:

  • Lead a technical staff to successfully execute engineering tasks precisely and on time.  
  • Use technical experience to learn products, champion new ideas and patents and create vision on how to technically grow our product offering organically
  • From a business leadership position, must be able to make decisions that are in the best interest of the company, technically integrate newly acquired businesses and have the ability to make technical presentations to our customers to aid sales in selling current production, launching new products, and/or gathering technical ideas from our customers.
  • From a manager standpoint must be able to manage and mentor the team and resolve any performance issues.

Requirements:

  • Engineering Degree (mechanical, civil) from an ABET accredited university is required.
  • 8+ years' industry experience in pressure containing valves and rig floor equipment or hydraulically actuated pipe handling systems, cranes and or rotary torqueing petroleum equipment engineering and design.
  • Must have excellent leadership skills and solid communication skills for internal and external negotiations, consensus building, and organizational networking.
  • Professional engineering license and or an advanced degree in management is desired but not required.
  • Advanced leadership or management training and/or advanced quality training (six sigma) training and/or project management training is also desired but not mandatory.
  • This role will require a high level of technical communication.  Comprehension of the technologies this role is responsible for managing is paramount.
  • Domestic and International travel is required equal to or less than 25%
