Dovre Group is pleased to offer the following contract opportunity: Document's For Operations (DFO) Liaison

Location: Calgary, AB
Number of Positions: 1
Estimated Start Date: February 11th 2013

JOB FUNCTION
The Kearl DFO Coordinator provides guidance and support to the entire project team, ensuring the smooth transition of DFO documentation from project to BTPO. Ensures supplier and contractor DFO deliverables are in complience with the documented IORVL standards and procedures.

TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Coordinate DFO for all Kearl Projects
  • Develop KPI's to tract Contractor progress and compliance standards
  • Develop DFO progress reports for IORVIL senior management
  • Coordinate planning and delivery of early, start up, final and project documentation handover
  • Maintain lines of communication with the BTPO organization throughout all projects duration
  • Attend pre and post purchase order award meetingsto facilitate supplier understand of DFO deliverables by project
  • Supervise and train staff as required
  • Develop and rollout presentations as required
  • Participate in the interface with contractors and suppliers as needed to ensure DFO deliverables meet project objectives
  • Coordinate monthly DFO meetings with contractors
  • Develop and maintain DFO procedures and workflows
  • Coordinate reviews of contractor and supplier DFO deliverables with DFO Doc Analysts
  • Ensure early delivery DFO documentation is available to support final commissioning and start up
  • Develop a audit schedule for each contractor
  • Audit contractors DFO deliverables
  • Review deviations to the DFO specification
  • Engage Infromation Management Coordinator regarding issues that require further attention
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities for improvement

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Attention to detail
  • Superior command of English language both written and oral
  • Knowledge of engineering technical terminology
  • Minimum of seven years of experience in areas of operations and/or project technical support, including working experience with document management, documentation turnover requirements, and IT systems and tools
  • Experience in a production, refining, chemicals or mining operations technical support organization in desirable
  • At least five years experience in a supervisory, leadership position
  • Experience in electronic data management systems (EDMS), eg. DM, FileNET, Documentum, etc.
  • Proficient with MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat Professional
  • Proven ability to work within multicultural team
  • Current passport
  • Ability to travel on short notice
