Risk Lead

My client, an international operator, is looking to identify a Risk Lead to work within one of their major project teams here in Houston.

The Risk Lead will be responsible for assessing project risks as they relate to the project operations, along with identifying and implementing mitigation strategies.

Responsibilities:
-Developing a risk management methodology for the project.
-Developing a risk management plan with input from project leadership.
-Designing and facilitating regular workshops on risk issues for the project team, including choosing and coordinating external vendors to present to the team on specific issues of interest.
-Research and select risk management tool to track and manage risks.
-Facilitating a monthly risk review meeting for project leadership and team members.
-Responsible for creating, communicating and enforcing risk mitigation plans.
-Responsible for tracking mitigation plan completeness and effectiveness, and communicating to project leadership.
-As risks arise on an ongoing basis, responsible for quantifying risk issues, assigning to appropriate team members, and tracking completion of plans.

Education
-Bachelor's degree in business, finance, or economics related areas; Master's level desirable.

Experience
-6 to 10 years of demonstrated specific and relevant experience in risk management
-Strong experience with risk data analysis
-Strong analytical mindset
-Demonstrated strong commercial capability and acumen
-High level of personal integrity
-Strong organizational capabilities
-Strong facilitation skills
