Blowout Tools, Inc., a Superior Energy Services Company, specializes in furnishing rental tools such as blowout preventers, choke manifolds, spools, adapters, flanges, piping, and downhole valves and nipples for drilling, workover, high pressure workover, coiled tubing, snubbing, blowout, and ultra-deep water and horizontal drilling operations. SUMMARY
The Regional General Manager is responsible for the financial performance of his appointed area of operations. This responsibility will cover financial performance for BTI business focused on rental equipment and services, fishing equipment and services, and product sales. The Regional General Manager's responsibilities include the functional areas of Safety, Engineering/Operations, Accounting, Human Resources, and assistance with local Marketing and Sales where applicable as well as with Corporate and Executive Sales when needed. Constant interface with local Area Manager, Rental/Fishing Manager, and Safety Department to ensure implementation of all Company policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Operational
- Review of and implementation of region's operations, safety and performance policies
- Approval of all major purchases and expenditures for region operations (Capital, Operating, & Sales Budgets)
- Review and implementation of environmental programs
- Input and participation in initiation, negotiation and execution of contracts as required inclusive of amendments and revisions.
- Personal inspection of all locations for policy compliance
- Recommends capital and spare equipment requirements, and audits existing procedures for their proper operation and upkeep.
- Customer interface and resolution to job and performance related issues.
- Recommends capital and spare equipment requirements, and audits existing procedures for their proper operation and upkeep.
Financial
- Submits Operations budgets, expenses and capital for respective operating areas
- Reviews financial performance and recommends changes
- Approves inventory levels
- Responsible for operating and justifying monthly budgeted spending
Personnel
- Monitors performance on payroll and approves promotions
- Monitors to make sure that all employees are reviewed and appraised annually as per company policy
- Recommend and approves staffing levels
- Reviews training requirements
- Conducts HSE meetings and monitors HSE programs
REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS
Experience
- Recent practical oilfield rental and service equipment management experience in selected operating areas.
- Preferably minimum of 5 years experience at this comparable management level.
Education and Training
- Prefer Bachelor's degree or twenty or more years experience with at least 5 current years as a multi-operations manager.
