Job Description:

Stewart Tubular Products is a manufacturer, distributor and threader of down-hole tubing and casing accessories. We are licensed by TenarisHydril, GB Tubulars, and API to cut tubing and casing connections on oilfield tubulars and we are a subcontractor for VAM USA. We have experienced rapid growth over the last several years, and we are in the planning stages for a new ''Greenfield'' manufacturing facility which we expect to complete within the next 1-2 years. We have a strong, experienced management team, including our President who has over 30 years of experience in the tubular accessories business. Our sales team is highly rated by our customer base, and we have a reputation for quick service and quality products.

We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager to lead our accomplished team and continue our momentum of strong sales growth.

Key Responsibilities

Management Duties

  • Manage, mentor, and develop the skills and performance of the sales & admin employees
  • Ensure that sales team is provided regular performance feedback with goals and measurements that are consistent with the priorities of the business, and that interim reviews are held so that their work is focused on those priorities, and they understand their level of accountability for results and the measurement process
  • Prepare sales group for customer/licensor audits
  • Track sales performance for incentives
  • Monitor department activity levels
  • Participate in production meetings
  • Assist with: Licensor agreements/guidelines/technical issues, collections, and customer set-up/credit limits
  • Resolve scheduling and customer/vendor issues
  • Communicate effectively interdepartmentally
  • Respond to customer/vendor/licensor requests for assistance/information
  • Determine appropriate work level and adjust price and lead times to affect backlog
  • Present a uniform image in communications (quotation formats, e-mail formats, etc.)
  • Check approvals for vendor payments
  • Interpret and determine if changes are needed to Sales Policies (Scrap, returns, minimum order size)

Sales Management Duties

  • Review and assign incoming inquiries from Web-site
  • Responsible for reviewing: quotations, customer orders, invoices, purchase orders,
  • Establish work assignments for sales.
  • Pricing guidelines/Pricelists
  • Serve as Technical Information resource for sales
  • Responsible for scheduling coordination
  • Conduct customer visits
  • Assist as back-up for doing quotations
  • Design and evaluate Customer Satisfaction Surveys

Technical/Quality

  • Training (new employee & ongoing training)
  • Review/approve NCR's and Deviation Requests
  • Provide assistance with back-up traveler & drawing review
  • Address technical issues related to products
  • Manage vendor quality issues
  • Assist with Quality issues: Revisions to QPM & WPI, handle CAR/PAR documents issued to sales, respond to FRNCR's

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Eight plus years in a Sales Manager position, preferably in the Manufacturing or Oil & Gas industries
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Must have an entrepreneurial spirit, with a keen ability to identify and secure new opportunities
