PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Serves as the lead for the plant's Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) program.
• Works with corporate HSE to develop and implement goals, standards, policies, and expectations regarding the company's SIS program. These standards shall include the process by which SIS's are identified through the commissioning of these systems. Also included is calibration and maintenance of these systems going forward.
• Works with corporate HSE to coordinate compliance evaluations and necessary follow-ups and improvements
• Works with plant personnel to implement Corporate-wide standards relative to SIS.
• Understands, participates in, and periodically reviews the plant's Process Hazard Review (PHA) program with respect to Layer of Protection Analysis (LOPA) and the identification of potential Safety Instrumented Systems and Safety Instrumented Functions.
• Serves as the plant expert on SIS regulations and related issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or similar technical degree
• At least 3 years of relevant Instrumentation and Controls experience preferably in a chemical/petrochemical/refinery environment is required.
