Mechanical Commissioning Coordinator

Minimum of 5 years commissioning and operations experience in the offshore oil and gas industry. Duties will include developing system functional descriptions and detailed commissioning and start-up procedures in an office environment and in yard phase. Procedure reference documents to include P&IDs, one line diagrams, design specifications, control functional narratives and vendor documents as available. Must be able to write Mechanical Procedures, specifically System Commissioning Procedures. Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Word and Excel required. Job requires the ability to look at previous project go-by procedures, interact with engineering and operations team for input and draw on past commissioning and operational experience of offshore facilities when developing procedures.

Candidates should have knowledge of:

• P&ID's, System Walkdowns and Punch listing
• Start up of Process & Utility systems
• Basic millwright, piping & workshop skills
• Familiar with ABS, MMS and Coast Guard Regulations
• Rotating Equipment Experience (Turbines, Compressors, PD & Centrifugal Pumps)
• Marine systems experience/knowledge would be advantageous
• Hazards associated with operating equipment

Candidate should be able to manage other direct reports in the mechanical field, as well as coordinate work for all team members. Position will be based for a short time in Houston location before moving to fabrication yard in Texas. Current water survival certification a plus.
