Do you enjoy hiking, fishing and mountain views?  Would you want to wake up and smell the fresh ocean breeze every day?  Coast Industrial has the ideal opportunity for you and your family.  Coast Industrial is currently hiring a Maintenance Mechanical Engineer in a community located on the southeast coast of Vancouver Island.  The successful candidate must have a degree in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 5 years' experience - Qualification for registration with APEGCB - Professional Engineers and Geoscientists BC.

Coast Industrial Services is a full service contractor with branches in British Columbia, Alberta and Chile. Coast supplies Skilled Trade's personnel for our clients in Western Canada; we recruit from Canada, USA, Chile, Peru, Philippines, Australia and UK.

Requirements:

Excellence in safety and environmental performance on all assignments and projects
Maintenance and reliability engineering support for Paper Mill, Mechanical Pulping, and Foreshore including regulatory compliance program, major equipment rebuilds, troubleshooting, and design improvements.
Preparation of maintenance investment plans and spending forecasts
Maintenance and Improvement project development and preparation of formal funding requests. Management of approved projects and delivery on project scope, quality, schedule, and cost
Technical support of identified improvement initiatives
Optimization of asset preventative maintenance and reliability programs run using SAP and EXP software business systems
Risk assessments and development of risk mitigation plans
