Stellar Recruitment is partnered with one of the most advanced producers of bio-fuels in the world.  Our client is using their deep experience and proven technology to create the world's first commercial scale biomass-to-gasoline production facility.  As such, we are currently seeking a seasoned Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in process who will be reporting to the Senior Vice President, acting as a key cornerstone of this endeavour from start to finish.  

Key duties will include but are not limited to:

Quickly gaining a deep understanding of the technology
Managing engineering and design of one or more production units
Completing engineering calculations and equipment data sheets
Selecting materials and creating  specifications for plant materials and systems
Selecting vendors and working with them to purchase process equipment
Overseeing vendors in start-up/commissioning to achieve performance targets

      To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:

Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
A minimum of 10 years' heavy industrial process plant experience
7+ years' experience with oil & gas or petrochemical plant processes preferred
Experience designing vessels, heat-exchangers, rotating equipment, etc.
Project engineering and management experience highly desired
Broad experience with mechanical engineering and design in process plants
Strong communication skills and desire to collaborate in team environment
Passion for development of new energy technologies
Willingness to travel up to 75% between project sites
