Senior Process Engineer

Stellar Recruitment is partnered with one of the largest oil-shale producers in the world. Our client is bringing their 8 decades of shale oil experience and proven technology to Utah, to create the world's largest shale oil production facility. As such, we are currently seeking a highly qualified Senior Process Engineer who will be reporting to the CEO and Senior R&D Manager, acting as a key cornerstone of this first US endeavour from start to finish.

Key duties will include but are not limited to:
- Quickly gaining a deep understanding of the technology
- Coordinate with partners and counterparts in existing company plants
- Liaise with senior project management staff from chosen vendors and contractors
- Manage and report on schedule and specification adherence
- Audit and troubleshoot engineering and design packages from contractors
- Act as owner's rep to ensure quality and timeliness of vendor contributions
- Manage project from FEED, through to start-up, operations and optimization

To be considered for this position, you will possess the following:
- A minimum of 7-10 years' experience in process plant engineering working for an owner/operator
- Experience with oil & gas or petrochemical plant process systems
- Competency in hydro-processing, hydro-cracking, or hydrogen production
- High level of motivation and pioneering mentality
- Willingness to travel frequently to company sites and strong desire to learn
- Passion for development of new energy technologies
- Long-term commitment to make this 18-year venture to production a success
