Job Description:


The FPSO Deputy Manager will follow FPSO Project Manager directions to support the implementation of the Chissonga FPSO facilities through to handover to Productions Operations Angola. The DM's activities will facilitate the FPSO Project Manager mobility and support on the several locations that the FPSO project is supposed to have.

Key Responsibilities & Tasks:

•Support the FPSO Project manager to prepare the FPSO Scope of Work, prepare, approve and issue the ITT Package, Vendor selection process, site supervision, approval of deliverables and compliance with project targets.
•Ensure that the FPSO Project Manager is provided with adequate information from all Project Team Members.
•Support management to ensure each resource stays within assigned schedule and cost targets.
•Participate in all aspects of the prequalification and final selection of bidders including inspection of potential contractors' facilities and audit of the management systems.
•Work with tender documents for all FPSO related contract(s) and participate on all interfaces with all technical areas and support personnel including Subsea, URF, Legal, Insurance, HSSE etc.
•Support the preparation of award recommendations for approval submission to Maersk Oil corporate, partners and Angolan authorities.
•Support the FPSO Project Manager for all contractor(s) scope of work, from awards through handover to Operations.
•Attend each site regularly, for the purpose of Project Management support.
•Support the FPSO Project Manager in the preparation and execution of reports, documents, planning, studies etc high and any technical issues requiring FPSO Project Manager participation.
•Collaborate closely with the Subsea & Installation, Drilling and Production Operations teams to ensure smooth interfacing and caretaking of joining issues.
•Support the planning for the fully certified and ready for introduction of hydrocarbons FPSO handover to Production Operations.
•Perform any other duties as directed by the FPSO Project Manager.

Decision Making Authority and Accountability:

•The FPSO Deputy Manager will support the FPSO Project Manager with his/her activities, to ensure that the FPSO will be delivered to Production Operations - Angola, completely in accordance with the approved quality and design specifications, within the overall project schedule.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

•10-20 years' experience in EPC project management with at least 10 years experience with FPSO projects.
•Strong facilities background preferably with a topsides process and operational experience.
•Ample offshore industry experience including deep water subsea systems and FPSO design, construction and installation.
•Extensive FPSO Project cost estimating experience.
•Familiarity with project management tools is essential.
•Demonstrate support of management objectives.
•Understandings of safe design & operating principles.
•Strong team-working and interpersonal/ communication skills.
•Ability to work effectively in a diverse, multidiscipline team environment.
•Employ organizational skills, managing diverse workload for multiple customers.
•Strong communications skills both within the team environment and also with partners and when necessary, Government Agencies.
•Must be capable of effective and seamless integration of facilities engineering activities with subsurface, drilling, Subsea and commercial.
•Demonstrated effectiveness in determining customer needs, educating customer on solutions and meeting the Project needs.
•Can demonstrate knowledge on multi disciplines present in a FPSO Project.
•Readiness to establish clear understanding of Maersk Oil's business codes including value drivers.
•High levels of creativity, organization and enthusiasm.
•Proficient in both written and spoken English.  Fluency in Portuguese is desirable.
