 PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: To co-ordinate all technical and engineering aspects of the UBS activities during the project, in accordance with the Q&HSE procedures. To provide project support and technical advice to the client, drilling contractor and the UBD / MPD operational personnel via the Senior Supervisor. To ensure that the requirements of the client are met with regards to reservoir and well control operations during the drilling of each well.
MAIN ROLES: The role includes the overall technical responsibility for the UBD / MPD operational activities during the project, which include but are not limited to the following activities:
1.Establish and maintain regular communication with the client, drilling contractor, Weatherford Project Manager, Senior Supervisor and all other services onsite. Providing feedback and regular technical advise to all parties concerned.
2.Evaluate, prepare and assist the client with the design of each drilling program, whilst coordinating all data and requirements with the Project Manager to enable a constant project overview.
3.Co-ordinate any variations in project planning, onsite technical and operational requirements / changes with the Senior Supervisor as to revise his roles or operational activity as required.
4.Provide overall project responsibility for Weatherford's UBD / MPD operational personnel and equipment with assistance / support from the Project Manager and the Senior Supervisor.
5.Provide overall Q&HSE responsibility for Weatherford's activities, ensuring full compliance to the crews via the Senior Supervisor.
6.Interface with the client, drilling contractor and directional drilling provider to advise during the drilling periods and to provide solutions to issues if required.
7.Technical, operational & engineering focal point, for all UBD / MPD daily reporting and field records, direct through to the Project Manager and the client representatives.
Qualification : Any Engineering Degree, preferably Mechanical
Knowledge : Drilling engineering, Exp : 5-6 Yrs relevant to Drilling, Planning, 3-4 years preferably in MPD/UBD Exp and 2-3 yrs in HTHP wells.
