Job Description:

Purpose / Mission
•To lead the L&D strategies, initiatives and deliverables for E&P and oversee the management and administration of all its related activities and processes.
•Act as a subject matter expert on L&D by doing thorough research and suggesting L&D interventions to meet business needs.
•Stay abreast of emerging L&D trends in the E & P industry, advent of technology in L&D, competitors practices, technical, functional & behavioural competency programs
Key Performance Indicators
Financial
•Evaluate and measure training to establish ROI and ensure all methods of delivery are implemented to educate, develop and enhance performance.
Operational
•Identify and source suitable learning and development solutions to meet specific skills gaps and organizational learning and development needs.
Quality
•No audited non-compliances with reserves estimation process
Job Qualifications:
Education
•A graduate in Petroleum Engg/Geosciences/Mechanical Engg with an excellent academic record. A Doctorate or a Post Graduate degree in Training & Development or HR will be an added advantage.
Experience
•20 years of relevant experience with at least 10 years in a leadership role heading learning & development of a large engineering, oil &gas or project management company.
•Significant post qualification experience in a learning and development environment (including strategic as well as operational experience) in upstream oil & gas environment.
•Experienced in driving change and performance improvements through cultural initiatives, focused interventions and overall talent management efforts.
Competencies
• Ability to think strategically and align strategic and operational needs with organizational learning and development programs.
•High degree of internal respect and influence
•Must be an innovative individual who takes initiative and can accomplish objectives within tight deadlines.
•Strong presentation and facilitation skills and the ability to work in a high performing work environment.
•Excellent oral (public speaking) and written communication skills.
