Chief Reservoir Engineer

My client is urgently looking for a highly experienced reservoir engineer to be based in Aberdeen. You will be working for a global operator on high profile assets in the North Sea including key assets in their current portfolio. They are looking for a technical expert who can drive forward current projects at both development and operational phases.

Must have broad industry experience on a global scale and be a technical expert in all software used throughout the industry. You will also expected to be involved in the coaching and development of junior staff.

Technical responsibility includes a technical input into each of the following

*Reservoir characterisation (PVT, SCAL)
*Production forecasts
*Field development planning for economic analysis
*Simulation modelling (dynamic and static including uncertainties)
*Recovery factors
*Risks and uncertainties
*Provide input into investment proposals
*Coach and mentor younger members of team
*Peer assists and reviews

Required Technical Experience

*A strong classical reservoir engineering background
*Forecasts for production and economics
*Reserve evaluation
*Dynamic Reservoir Simulation
*Field development planning
*Uncertainty analysis

They are also looking for someone with excellent inter-personal skills who can manage integrated teams effectively
