Senior Drilling Advisor, Bangkok

I have an exciting opportunity for a mid-sized Independent Oil and Gas company to strengthen their subsurface team as their Senior Drilling Advisor for Overseas Projects to be based in Thailand on a expatriate staff basis.

This position involves the monitoring, reviewal, and support of the organizations overseas drilling operations including new business development; looking at assets across the Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa and North America. There will be an element of travel to some of the operators assets involved with this position.

Requirements:

* An engineering degree
* Postgraduate study would be an advantage
* Extensive postgraduate experience in the Oil and Gas industry with evidence of holding the position of a Lead Drilling Engineer
* Experience working in remote area
* Experience of Carbonate reservoirs
* Extensive experience of Deep water drilling
* Knowledge of Well design, planning and assurance experience
* Knowledge of pore pressure and fracture prediction
* Experience working with 3rd party well providers
* Significant experience of operations in the Asia Pacific
* Ability to provide input and guidance on operational issues
