Legal Advisor

My Client is looking for a Legal Advisor for their South Korean operations.

The role is located in South Korea where my client is building an FPSO.

The team will be residing on location. In addition to the salary a living allowance will be provided and every three months flights back home will be provided with sail away from the yard is set for December 2013.

• My client are looking for a person with legal experience, A person who can have indebt understanding of the contracts (customer and the yard), and proactively use the contract text.
• Understand all aspects of event and claims (both from SHI and towards our customers), then analyze the contract (all of it, means T&Cs, admin sections, tech sections etc) and build a case to protect Teekays interest.
• Must have extensive experience to write the official letter to SHI and or Customer, Letters with the appropriate legal jargon. This also includes ability to asses potential development , based on legal position, of the individual case
• Shall be an active member in the management team and advise PM and team on legal positions and threats and opportunities.

Candidates must have experience on working on FPSO's and ship building. The candidate will be responsible for managing project contracts, supplier negotiation and management, negotiating contract terms and conditions, contract support to all entities, administrating the project contracts portfolio and ensure that contract administration meet the Project Strategy requirements.

A minimum of 8 years experience is required and this is an Expat role.
