Primary Job Responsibilities :


The Mechanical Engineering Department Manager accomplishes results through engineering employees within the Mechanical and Piping discipline. Work is reviewed in terms of meeting the Upstream Group's objectives and schedules. The manager will be responsible for all projects assigned to the mechanical and piping departments. Frequent contacts with equivalent level managers concerning projects, operational decisions or scheduling requirements. The manager researches, develops, designs, and tests a variety of equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial and industrial purposes. Will evaluate the desired goal of the system and develops, designs, or selects the required equipment, power controls, piping, structures and earthwork to achieve the goal. The manager will perform calculations and evaluations in the design of equipment and systems for industrial and commercial applications. Will be required to participate in planning, cost development and management, and scheduling for assigned projects. Directs activities to ensure that construction, installation, and operational testing conform to functional specifications, recognized codes and standards, and customer requirements. Maintains effective communication with project team members and with the customer: May direct and coordinate operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment and systems in field installations: May use computer-assisted engineering and design software and equipment to perform engineering task.
 

Experience:


15+ years of E&P Mechanical Design and Engineering project experience 5+ years of supervisor and/or management level experience BS and/or MS in an engineering discipline is required Prior experience on upstream and midstream design projects is preferred Professional Engineering License is preferred
