MCL Canada has an immediate vacancy for a Sr. Instrument and Controls Facilities Engineer for our ongoing offshore oil and gas projects.
Details: For our Drilling client
Location: The position is based out of Metroworth St. John's office and Metroworth's client sites in the St. John's area
Duration of Contract: 12 months, renewable
Rate: 40 - 50 hours weekly based on an excellent competitive hourly rate commensurate with experience, plus excellent benefits package including accommodation, flights, monthly per diem and medical care supplement.
Rotation: Unaccompanied 3 months on / 2 weeks off
Accompanied 1 annual trip home per year
Experience Required: Bachelor of Engineering, or Bachelor of Science in Engineering (or accredited equivalent). Minimum of 10 years' experience within the Oil and Gas industry, preferably with Drilling facilities, with at least 5 years' experience in design. Professional engineers must be registered or eligible for registration with Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Newfoundland and Labrador (PEGNL)
Additional Information: Broad and extensive knowledge of offshore facilities, specifically Drilling facilities, and the inter-dependencies of design disciplines in the engineering process, and of offshore codes, regulations and standards, including C-NLOPB regulations. Must have past experience with DCDA (Drilling Control Data Acquisition) and a background in Drilling equipment, and Drill Floor engineering and design. Will be responsible for the design of the drilling modules and ensure that technical solutions.
