 I have an exciting new position with a leading independent based in Houston. The successful candidate will join a world class expanding subsurface team. This role is focussed on exploration, appraisal and development of assets in West Africa and the Gulf of Mexico.
Your primary responsibility is to progress exploration and appraisal wells to spud ready status and support and active drilling campaign. You will be involved in evaluating and developing new discoveries and supporting the current portfolio.
My client are currently in engaged in drilling programs on lower tertiary prospects and well as Miocene projects in the GOM. Recent discoveries and operated interested in several Angolan blocks as well as interests in assets offshore Gabon
Primary Responsibilities:
*Provide reservoir engineering support to exploration and locations for appraisal wells
*Attend data rooms and make recommendation to management
*Identification and execution of data gathering for exploration and appraisal wells
*Provide reservoir engineering support to development plans
*SCAL analysis and estimations of hydrocarbon volumes
*Analysis of dynamic and static well data
*Well test , design and execution
*Portfolio prioritisation
*Documentation of appraisal plans
*Liaise with other disciplines to asses data, attend data rooms to perform property evaluations - you may be required to coordinate these evaluations
Candidate Qualifications:
*Candidates are expected to be technical experts with significant industry experience
*A number of years directly related to deepwater projects in GOM, Brazil or West Africa
*Exceptional understanding of classical reservoir engineering techniques
*Exposure to a variety or geographical locations, assets types and depletion and development scenarios
*Must be able to work both independently and as part of a fully integrated subsurface team
This is a position for someone to work at the appraisal and development stage of some of the more geologically challenging assets in the world with the freedom that comes from working within a small team of industry experts.
This position is based in Houston on local terms, candidates must have the right to work in the USA
