Job Description:

Chaparral Energy (www.chaparralenergy.com), an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Oklahoma City, is seeking a driven and self-starting individual for the position of Human Resources Business Partner (Field).

This position will be an active member of the Human Resources Employee Relations team, providing strategic and tactical support towards employee relations, employee engagement, performance management, and employee development initiatives - primarily focused on field operations staff.  The HR Business Partner will work closely with corporate and local management to accomplish the following:
•Facilitate goal setting and performance management processes
•Determine staffing needs and implement effective recruiting and hiring strategies
•Develop succession plans and staff development programs
•Conduct management training and counseling
•Maintain positive and proactive employee relations
•Ensure appropriate documentation and resolution of employee issues
•Provide guidance on compensation issues
•Communicate HR programs and processes to ensure consistent execution
•Participate in special projects

Candidate qualifications include:
•Initiative and independent thinking with a strong desire for results
•Outstanding verbal and written communications skills
•Ability to lead through influence and collaboration
•Excellent organizational skills
•Ability to multi-task and prioritize multiple projects in a dynamic environment
•Strong working computer knowledge (i.e. HR systems, Microsoft Office, etc.)
•8+ years applicable experience
•Bachelors degree preferred (business, human resources, or related field)
•Professional HR certification (PHR or SPHR) desirable
•Position may require significant travel
