Production Superintendent

Chaparral Energy, an independent oil and gas company headquartered in Oklahoma City, is seeking a driven and self-starting individual for the position of Production Superintendent.

Responsibilities include:

 Supervise Foremen, Assistant Foremen and other field based employees.  
 Work closely with operations engineering team to maintain a strong relationship regarding engineering support and technical direction.
 Maintains compliance for environmental and safety issues.
 In conjunction with division team, accountable for meeting production targets and direct operating cost budget goals.
 Responsibility for maximizing production, minimizing operating expense, and managing people.

Desired Qualifications are
 Bachelor's degree preferred.
 Strong background in surface and subsurface production operations required.  Prior experience in managing of people and strong computer skills is preferred.
 Business acumen with ability to make decisions regarding profit/loss, risk management, safety, personnel, etc.
 Outstanding collaborative abilities
 Excellent verbal and written communications skills
 Initiative and independent thinking
