Senior Process Engineer

A new discovery on the Norwegian continental shelf is set to be developed.

The project organisation consists of a multi-disciplinary team with specialists from sub-surface to facilities engineering and all required support functions.

The successful applicant will be an experienced, flexible and structured Sr. Process Engineer. They will provide process technology expertise, including the implementation of new technologies, innovative work Practices and cost saving initiatives. On joining the project team they will work on Concept Development, Engineering and Execution for the Development Project.


Job description:
Perform steady state and dynamic simulations (HYSYS, FLARENET, PIPESIM, OLGA ) to design and evaluate process and operating systems
Design gas/liquid treatment systems, dehydration, deoiling
Perform equipment and line sizing
Specify depressuring, flare and vent systems
Develop process drawings such as PFDs/UFDs and P&IDs
Develop specifications such as Process Data Sheets
Specify process safeguarding philosophy, alarms, trips, shutdowns such as ESD, PSD, HIPPS
Participate to safety review meetings (HAZID, HAZOP)
Specify main process control philosophy and basic control parameters
Provide input into Design Basis and Functional Specifications
Assist in the preparation of facility tender documents, tender evaluation and contract award
Follow-up contractors engineering, construction, testing and commissioning activities
Assist with the development of operation manuals/ equipment documentation

Fluent in English (oral and written), Norwegian is an advantage
Good interpersonal skills
Good communicator, proactively seeking advise from others and share own experiences with group
Ability to work in multi-disciplinary project teams

Qualifications:
University degree in process engineering or other relevant engineering discipline
Minimum eight years relevant experience with topside modifications as well as new-build facilities projects, preferably with both operators and contractors
Track record in topside projects of both front end design aspects to detailed design, construction, installation and commissioning as well as engineering/construction experience in a multi-disciplinary environment
Have detailed understanding of all topside process, safety and utility systems
Possess in-depth knowledge of relevant contractors and the latest market developments
Experience with Norwegian field developments and legislation is important
