Control Systems Engineer

Currently we are working with several global EPC companies seeking Control Systems Engineers for mid-cap and large-cap projects in the greater Houston area. To be eligible for these positions, you must be able to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.


Job Specifics:
1) Interpreting P & ID'S, instrument specifications, I/O list, loop drawings, logic diagrams, PLC ladder diagrams, cause and effect diagrams, etc.
2) Perform instrument loop checks, I/O assignment, DCS and PLC programming/configurations, P& ID process tuning, DCS program simulation and interlock tests, etc.
3) Ensure systems in place for reliability and ensure redundancy in DCS system to eliminate unnecessary shutdowns or malfunctions
4) Work closely with other functional groups to address issues on equipment or instruments

Job Requirements:
1) Degree in Control System Engineering or related fields.
2) 3+ years experience in Control System Engineering, Instrumentation or Automation Engineering within an EPC company
3) Good communication and interpersonal skills, able to work well with other functional groups in resolution of project related challenges
4) Familiar with Honeywell TDS 3000 and Experion system as well as Allen Bradley PLC.
5) Proficient in DCS/PLC programming, graphic configurations, INtools, interlock testings, ESD system, SCADA system, etc.
6) Knowledge of calibration and testing of different instruments- on/off valve, pressure transmitter, temperature transmitter, flowmeter, control valve, analyzer, pressure regulating valve, etc.
