Job Purpose:
HSSE Lead will lead delivery of HSSE for an offshore renewal project, reporting directly to the Project Manager
Prime Responsibilities:
• Development of project specific HSSE plan, associated risk assessments and procedures
• Develop and maintain a high visible profile for HSSE matters with a strong ability to communicate and deliver HSSE expectations
• Build positive relationships with project teams, client and sub contractors
• Support project leadership in the validation, tracking and management of all HSSE processes and procedures
• Support project teams in the interpretation of requirements & compliance of HSE legislation
• Support the delivery of assurance processes relating to HSE including compliance auditing
• Deliver relevant HSSE internal / external performance and compliance reporting requirements
• Provide HSSE coaching, training, awareness, and assurance, as appropriate and on a day to day basis, for project and offshore personnel
• Participate as required in technical studies and reviews such as HAZAN / HAZOP / HAZID / ENVID /ISD
• Monitor the performance of the project against agreed targets and objectives intervene when required
• Provide knowledge and guidance on offshore safety case regulation requirements
• Demonstrate HSSE Leadership and encourage safe behaviors within the project teams
• Champion HSE Improvements and Environmental initiatives within the project
• Manage delivery of the audit schedule, seeking assistance where specialist knowledge required.
Experience Required:
• Experienced in safety, security, health, and environment delivery in the on and offshore oil and gas industry
• Comprehensive knowledge of UK HSE legislation, industry standards and practices
• Implementation of HSE related programmes including safe systems of work, auditing, behavioral safety, health monitoring, etc
• Well developed communication skills
• Accident / incident investigation.
• Experience of implementing the CDM regulations in an offshore environment
Qualifications/Training Required:
• Health and safety Qualification minimum of NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent
• CDM training/qualification
• Environment Qualification (desirable)
• Member of appropriate professional institution (desirable)
• Root cause, Asbestos, Radiation training/qualification (desirable)
