We are currently seeking an experienced Analyzer Engineer to work on the front end engineering and design, commissioning and support of the Jazan Refinery and Terminal Complex in Saudi Arabia.


Minimum Requirements
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic or Instrumentation Engineering complemented by a chemistry background with a preference for analytical instrumentation engineering as well as a minimum of 9 years of experience in analytical applications for the oil and gas industry.

In addition, the successful candidate will require specific knowledge of Sample System Design and Maintenance Improvements, including all aspects of delivering a representative sample to a process analyzer, as well as Process Analyzer Applications and Maintenance Improvements, with special emphasis on process gas chromatographs, process safety analyzers and environmental monitoring.


Duties & Responsibilities
Determine scope of work for process analyzer and sample system portion of projects.

Provide engineering design and specifications to support procurement and construction activities for projects.

Identify opportunities for improved process analyzers, sample systems, and online analytical services, i.e., pertaining to quality, cost and reliability.

Maintain technical expertise in assigned functional areas of process analyzers and sample systems.

Provide forecast cost and schedule estimates for capital and maintenance projects.

Commission and calibrate/validate different types of refinery process analyzers.

Maintain and control process analyzer operations.

Apply benchmarking system to ensure and validate the quality of analyzer generated data.

Connect process analyzers with Advanced Process Control (APC) systems.

Develop engineering design package required to fix analyzer problems.

Train Saudi analyzer technicians.

Investigate analytical operational problems and write technical reports with recommendations.

Understand and operate different and advanced field process analyzers such as FTIR, GC, CFPP, Distillation, Density, Conductivity, TOC, RVP, Oxygen and NOX/SOX.

Review design drawing and engineering specifications to ensure conformance with relevant standards and practices.

Compile and deliver compelling documentation to enable implementation of engineering recommendations.
