Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Senior Materials & Corrosion engineer, you will have a number of key responsibilities. These include, implementation of corrosion control strategies, performance review of corrosion inhibition strategies, review of corrosion monitoring systems, risk based inspection methods, assisting with the investigation, review and analysis of incidents and development and implementation of process improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
The successful candidate will be a degree qualified engineer, with a preference for one of the following; materials engineering, materials science, maintenance engineering, process/chemical engineering or mechanical engineering. You will have had exposure to failure analysis and investigation within a corrosion capacity. This opportunity is ideal for someone looking to take the next step in their career. Working within a small unit, you will gain exposure to diverse operating facilities and have a high degree of responsibility. You will develop into a subject matter expert in the field with a high level of decision making ability. You will be exposed to both local and international opportunities throughout the wider Shell group as you develop in this role.
