Lead Mechanical Engineer

Hays Oil & Gas have been selected to work alongside a Global Oil & Gas service company based in Houston, who are looking to take on a lead mechanical engineer on a staff basis due to volume of projects.

The client is a significant player in the Oil & Gas market, with offices worldwide. Work ranges from small brownfield projects to mega greenfield installations. Their services cover the entire asset lifecycle: from identifying the opportunity to the operating phase. This client delivers engineering, procurement and construction management services.

The role is to lead the mechanical engineering teams on projects ranging from conceptual studies detail design to complete installations. Working as part of an engineering task force, the lead engineer will be totally responsible for the design quality and correct application for design codes and procedures.

You will be reporting to the project engineering manager, and be accountable for the planning, man-hours, schedule and progress reporting.

The Candidate:
You should have a significant level of mechanical engineering experience on multi-discipline projects within the Oil & Gas, petrochemcial or related industries. This experience should cover conceptual, FEED and detailed design, and preferably construction.

Must have lead engineer experience on large scale international projects.

Requirements:
Education and professional qualifications
BSc in Mechanical Engineering
Preferred Chartered Engineer
