Process Safety Supervisor

Great opportunity in Northern Alberta, Canada to work for a global upstream/downstream Oil & Gas Producer & Upgrader in the role of Safety Process Supervisor. This position is ideal for an individual looking to further their career within Oil and Gas Process Safety Management. Previous experience in downstream refining within petrochemical or chemical companies in harsh environments preferred. Excellent salary, benefits and relocation/housing package offered.

Responsibilities of the Process Safety Supervisor include:

Supervision, performance management, and career development of staff, as well as technical and management guidance for Process Safety Engineers for the safe and effective production ramp up at site
Be a leader in the development of the Five-Year Process Safety Risk Engineering Plan, including quantitative and qualitative risk engineering

Experience Preferred:

Strong Mechanical or Chemical Process Experience plus a knowledge of downstream refining safety processes and change management required.

Chemical Engineering degree, or equivalent specialization;
Eligible for professional registration in Alberta, Canada
Site owner for process safety work processes including Management of Change, Process Hazard Analysis, Pre-Start Up Safety Review, Process Safety Information Management, Quantitative Risk Assessment and Consequence Analysis.
15- 20 years of experience in supporting process safety management in an operating industrial process plant environment, with supervisory experience
