O&G Tax Manager - 7202

Tax Manager needed for a full time employment opportunity in Houston, Texas.  Requirements include a bachelor's degree, a CPA license, 20 years of oil & gas experience in taxation (federal income taxes, state, local income and franchise taxes); knowledge of current tax laws, skills in business judgment, decisiveness, fact finding, logical thinking, consulting, and problem solving. Responsibilities include managing all tax functions, including minimizing tax liabilities, tax reporting, and regulatory compliance; ensure tax costs are minimized consistent with the law and interest of company; ensure that company complies with all tax and information reporting obligations; monitor changes in tax law and modify company policies and procedures accordingly; coordinate with departments and external parties to ensure tax compliance; and provide payroll specific tax advice to the HR department.
