 
The PSCM Specialist participates in and may lead the development and execution of sourcing initiatives. This person will implement sourcing strategies in alignment with applicable category strategies, as well as the ability to negotiate contracts with suppliers to deliver best value. The role requires an understanding of business objectives and the ability to engage internal customers, functional specialists and other stakeholders whose support is required for sourcing initiatives.
Leadership
-Communicates regularly with key stakeholders to ensure alignment of objectives and to build a clear understanding of business requirements for third party goods and services. Maintains regular contact with Field Specialists and Business Partners for access to current data and information as well as future plans and activities.
-Leads the on-boarding of key stakeholders who are required to support PSCM approaches to the external market. Develop and understanding of BP standard Category Management processes and provides coaching on PSCM processes and practices as necessary.
-Ensures safe and reliable operations in construction and contractor related construction risks are identified and mitigated
Category Management
-Supports category managers, contributing to the development of category strategies, plans and priorities, and identifies opportunities to leverage value or mitigate risk from changes in markets (e.g. technology developments, supplier consolidation).
-Implements sourcing initiatives that ensure delivery of business plans and category strategies.
-Ensures proper implementation of sourcing initiatives to enable consistent delivery of business plans and category strategies.
Sourcing
-Manages sourcing activities, prioritizing and rebalancing against business objectives.
-Leads the full sourcing process which includes development of scope, supplier selection, commercial negotiation, risk mitigation and contract execution, ensuring the appropriate business involvement at all stages of the process.
-Ensures application of an end-to-end (TCO) view in all sourcing decisions.
-Shapes contractual terms and conditions, involving Legal when required, employing best practice in contracting methods to manage risk and maximizes value.
-Identifies opportunities and realizes value through effective use of strategic cost management tools (e.g. "should cost" analysis, e-Auctions).
-Drives supports and promotes the use of PSCM common process.
-Participates in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned.
-Supports the implementation of new contracts and change of supplier, ensuring efficient management of change and in particular effective handover to and understanding of contract terms by front line supervisors.
-Actively participates in supplier performance management, including ongoing contract management and control, collation of performance data, and planning and execution of supplier meetings.
Contract Management

Analysis
-Proficiency in Excel is required
-The ability to manipulate Pivot tables would be a plus
-Experienced in developing and standardizing databases for managing and maintaining category related data, cost information, trend analysis is a plus.
Capability Development
-Participates in company networks, sharing information, best practices and lessons learned.
-Bachelor's Degree.
-Minimum 5 to 7 years procurement and contracting experience.
