 As a result of continuous growth, Savanna Energy is seeking a proactive and dynamic individual for the role of Senior HRMS Specialist. The position of Senior HRMS Specialist is responsible for the configuration, maintenance and management of the global Human Resource Management System and the integration of these systems with other Savanna business systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Configure and maintain the HRMS system including but not limited to Canadian and US payroll rules, Global HR, Organization Management, Training & Development, and Performance Management within the HRMS system
- Collaborate with IT and the business to manage the integration of systems between the HRMS and Time Management system, SharePoint, Operating Databases, and third party payroll systems (ADP internationally)
- Manage the use of the various environments and updates
- Manage new functionality requests and the budgets of approved changes
- Coordinate changes and updates to the HRMS through facilitation and basic project management. Facilitate business decisions regarding system rules
- Coordinates resources and timing with other divisions such as IT, HR, Finance
- Maintain HRMS security including role assignments, role development, and overall system and data security strategy
- Document rules and procedures as related to HRMS
- Lead users in testing the systems, including service pack testing, new release testing and regression testing and user acceptance testing
- Troubleshoot any configuration or system related anomalies. Work closely with vendor in resolving any cases logged to customer site
- Train users on the proper use of the HRMS system to ensure consistency. Provide quality assurance on data in the HRMS
- Build and maintain reports in HRMS as required
- Perform other duties as requested by supervisor
- HR Systems and Implementations, Some Process and Project Management, problem solving skills, understanding of IT product development
To be successful in this position, you will possess:
- Knowledge of HR, accounting and payroll concepts
- Deep understanding of HR/Payroll systems
- Able to analyze HR/Payroll process and provide sound solutions
- Understanding of IT product development lifecycle, and an ability to collaborate with technical resources
- Strong problem solving skills
- Ability to take initiative to implement change, where necessary
- Advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite
- 4+ years post-secondary education in a related field
- 7+ years in HRMS/Project Coordination related experience
- Demonstrated experience on technical project implementations involving HR/Payroll
- Experience with major HR Software platforms (eg. eCyborg, PeopleSoft, SAP HR)
- Experience in Organizational Management or position administration would be considered an asset
- Experience in Oil & Gas industry would be considered an asset
