Manufacturing Controls Engineer

This is an electronics specialist who has extensive experience coding, maintaining & troubleshooting control systems in a manufacturing environment, especially skilled in Allen Bradley & Seimens PLC programming and HMI programming. Candidates are expected to have a BSEE, BSIE, or other technical degree in electronics and have minimum 3 years experience programming and repairing continuous process manufacturing equipment. Additional experience will be accepted in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

 

• Write, implement, test and document PLC software
• Troubleshoot VFD-controlled motors and equipment
• Troubleshoot control systems, PLC, HMI problems in manufacturing equipment
• Assist with documentation of drawings, manuals and procedures for electrical control components & developments
• Assist in existing machine retrofits

Skills & Education

 

• Accomplish work to a plan
• Motivated, strong team player with excellent interpersonal communication skills
• Allen Bradley and Siemens PLC programming and troubleshooting
• Read and write Ladder Logic for PLC
• Read electrical schematics
• BS in an Engineering discipline with 3+ years experience Non degreed applicants will be considered

Senior Controls Technician

• Implement, test and edit PLC software (Allen Bradley and Siemens)
• Troubleshoot VFD-controlled motors and equipment
• Optimize control systems, PLC, HMI issues in manufacturing process equipment
• Assist with documentation: drawings, manuals and procedures for electrical control components
• Assist with machine retrofits
